Q: Why do I have to move my website? What does web site migration consist of?

That is the reason why we’ll do all that for you for free!Our skilled technical staff reps will migrate your web site content from your present hosting provider to us. Our techs have a lot of experience migrating websites and are able to take care of everything – from a conventional WordPress–driven weblog or Joomla™ web site, to an extremely complex, custom–built web application.

Q: How long will it take for my site to be moved to your platform?
A: There are a lot of aspects to take into consideration – the total amount of web files, the size of the database, the complexity of the web site itself and the present workload of our web site migration experts, etc. That said, we do try to implement all web site migrations within a 48–hour window. Less sizeable web sites are transferred much faster – typically within 24 hours.

Q: Do you require anything from me before you start moving my web site?
A: Yep. We’ll require the name of the site that you’d like us to migrate. We will also require a means to access your current web hosting account so that we can get the files pertaining to your site.

Q: I give you access to delicate info. How can I be sure that you won’t abuse it?

Q: Will my site be unavailable during the transfer?
A: While we move your website, it will be available both in your web hosting account with us and in your account with your former web hosting provider. As soon as the transfer is over, we’ll make sure that everything is functioning correctly and that the integrity of your content is not compromised prior to notifying you that the migration is finished. After that, we’ll explain to you how to transfer the domain to your web hosting account with us and how to change the DNS resource records.

Q: Will my present hosting provider need to provide any info/assistance?
A: No. We’ll never touch base with your web hosting provider about anything at all. They won’t be aware of the website migration either.

Q: Which hosting platforms do you support?
A: We can transfer your web site from any hosting provider or any Linux–powered hosting platform provided that we can gain access to the Control Panel and there is FTP access available.The only websites that we can’t migrate are the ones based on closed–source software applications such as Wix, BaseKit, Jimdo, Website Tonight, Four Square and Mr Site.
