A catch-all mailbox receives email messages sent to inactive email addresses under the same domain. For instance, an email message sent to the misspelled suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. Thus, you can get messages from mates or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling mistake or to an out-of-date one, which they may still have, but you have already deleted. Just one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. This is so because of the fact that at some moment you may start receiving spam emails in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation implies that the spam will not be sent to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

If you host a domain on our cloud platform and you’ve got a shared hosting account, you will be able to activate the catch-all functionality for any email mailbox that you create under the domain. The Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section offers quite a few features, but it’s exceptionally simple to use, so configuring a catch-all mailbox takes just a mouse click. All the email addresses that you’ve set up will be listed in this section alphabetically and you’ll simply need to click on the "Catch-all" button associated with the specific email address. Our system will inform you if there is already another catch-all mailbox activated for that domain or if the one that you would like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding activated, so you can either disable the latter feature or select another mailbox. Disabling the catch-all option is just as easy and requires yet another click on the very same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all functionality can be enabled effortlessly if you’ve got a semi-dedicated server account with our company. All the email addresses that you’ve created using the domain names hosted in the semi-dedicated account will be shown in the Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you will see a small-size logo handily located right next to each one of them. With just a single click of the mouse, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your preference as long as there isn't another mailbox under the same domain with this option already enabled and there isn't active email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on a mailbox and activate this option through the context menu that will show up. In case any of the requirements for creating a catch-all mailbox is not satisfied, our system will let you know, but will not deactivate or replace anything automatically.
